Time to Switch

Time to switch

Reusable coffee filters are the bee’s knees

Looking for a sign that it's time to make the switch to reusable coffee filters? Here it is! 🌟

We just brought in a selection of coffee filters in a variety of sizes from Pinyon Products. There's one to fit everyone's coffee style (and even a nut milk bag, for all the plant-based milk lovers out there). This is a super easy zero-waste switch to make, and has SO many benefits:

1. ECO-FRIENDLY COFFEE FILTER: these filters are all made of 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton – both responsibly produced, sustainable materials that will last through hundreds of uses.

2. ZERO WASTE AND MORE AFFORDABLE: they cost about the same as a box of paper coffee filters, but will last far longer, saving you money (for more coffee!).

3. HANDMADE WITH CARE IN BC: buying products made locally means you are supporting a small business right here in North America (not a massive overseas manufacturer). The profits from your purchase go right back into our local economy.

4. GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR COFFEE: cloth filters remove more of the bitter sediment than metal mesh filters that can taint the taste of your delicious coffee, while still allowing more of the natural, decadent oils to pass through than paper filters.

5. NATURALLY ANTIMICROBIAL: hemp has natural antimicrobial properties, so you can be sure there are no bad chemicals in there!

6. EASY TO CLEAN: just empty the grounds (hopefully into your compost... or garden... or face mask concoction...), rinse and allow to air-dry. For a deeper clean after months of use, boil in some water for 3-5 minutes.

So there's the sign you've been waiting for… there really aren’t any reasons not to switch!
